Contaminated water issue returns to court

Harrietsfield residents plagued by contaminated well water will be back in court this week.

On Thursday, lawyers representing a dozen area residents will be in Nova Scotia Supreme Court to continue their fight for clean water.

In 2010, the homeowners found out their wells were tainted by chemicals they believe escaped from the now-defunct RDM Recycling Ltd. facility on Old Sambro Road. A dozen of these residents started a legal battle in 2014, seeking a resolution. Meanwhile, the residents have been dealing with chemical leaching and contamination that dates back nearly three decades.
