Mobile home park next to 12-acre toxic dump site releases full water test results

BELMONT, MI - Months after assuring its residents there were no issues with their water supply, the owners of the Leisure Village community in Belmont have released the full results of their drinking water tests.

The test results, released to residents this January, confirm what company officials said in November 2017: per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances called PFAS were not detected in the five drinking water wells that supply the Leisure Village mobile home park.

The safety of the community's water supply was of concern due to its neighbor, a 12-acre dump site for toxic sludge.
