Toxic levels of heavy metal found in Allegan County drinking water

PULLMAN, Mich. — Dozens of residents at an Allegan County apartment complex are under a health advisory on Thursday and are being told not to drink the water.

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality recently discovered high levels of dangerous contaminants in the drinking water at the Mystic View apartments in Pullman.

In response, the Allegan County Health Department issued a health advisory asking residents to not drink or boil the water. The department advises residents to use only bottled water for drinking and cooking.
